Higher Education Instutions

Finnish Lapland is home to three higher education institutions - the University of Lapland (www.ulapland.fi) , Kemi-Tornio University of Applied Sciences (www.tokem.fi), and Rovaniemi University of Applied Sciences (www.ramk.fi). With more than 10 000 degree students, including 1 000 international students, these three institutions represent the very best in educational qualifications. According to the OECD’s “PISA Survey”, the Finnish education system is the most successful in the world. In addition, the World Economic Forum has continuously identified Finland as one of the world’s most competitive economies. The main reasons for such success are the high quality of science and technology, and the rapid internationalization of our education. All three higher education institutions in northern Finland are providers of cutting-edge knowledge, and excellence and know-how.

If you are interested in internationally oriented higher education, at either the bachelor, masters’ or doctoral levels, which closely collaborate with industry and business, then we have a programme that will interest you.
